Tire separation cases have been a news phenomenon for the past decade. This defect can be deadly, causing major accidents at high speeds and on busy highways. Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. is one of the most prominent corporations in the tire and rubber manufacturing world. Certain tires in their line were recalled in the year 2000, as a defect was responsible for hundreds of motor vehicle accidents that resulted in death or serious injury.
